Houston Family of Mexican Worker Killed During ICE Operation Demands Accountability

The family of Lorenzo Salgado Aro, a Mexican construction worker who was fatally shot during an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Houston, Texas, has spoken publicly for the first time, calling for a full, transparent, and independent investigation into the incident that claimed his life.

Surrounded by community leaders, attorneys, immigrant-rights advocates, and members of Congress, Lorenzo's relatives delivered an emotional account of the tragedy during a press conference in Houston. Fighting back tears, they described him as a hardworking husband, father, and provider whose only goal was to support his family through honest labor.

According to the family, Lorenzo left home that morning expecting another ordinary workday. Instead, what began as an immigration enforcement operation ended in a fatal shooting that has raised serious questions about the use of force by federal officers.
